ApeChain, one of the latest Ethereum Layer 3 (L3) networks, launched last Sunday at ApeFest Lisbon, which in turn led to a temporary doubling of the price of ApeCoin ($APE).
Powered by Arbitrum’s Orbit L2 stack, ApeChain offers gas-sponsored transactions, abstracted accounts, and LayerZero’s Omnichain Fungible Token standard, enabling cross-chain transfers.
In other words? It's pretty slick! But it's also a very degen environment at the moment.
In the wake of the network's launch, we've seen a fresh wave of apps arrive on the L3 like Ape Express, a token launchpad similar to Pump.fun, and Top Trader, a trade simulator platform.
