On that note, the game has a contentious relationship with the country as well, as a local lawmaker, Anatoly Aksakov, has called for Hamster Kombat to be banned, while 40% of Russians have heard of the game per a recent All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM) survey. That's a lot of attention, but whether Hamster Kombat retains this post-airdrop will be the real test.
