Emerging markets-focused startup Brix has raised $5.5M and is moving quickly to bring more currencies onchain, starting with tokenized Turkish lira this coming Monday, April 20.

What's the Scoop?

  • Fresh Raise: Emerging markets startup Brix has raised $5.5M to tokenize high-yielding emerging market assets. The raise was led by Yapi Kredi’s venture arm – FRWRD – and Is Bank’s asset management subsidiary – Is Asset Management – alongside crypto-native investors including as Circle Circle Ventures, ConsenSys, and Borderless Capital.
  • Loop Yield Possibilities: Capitalizing on the raise momentum, MegaETH founder Shuyao "HotpotDAO" Kong shared an article to X, outlining how iTRY investors can engage in recursive looping strategies against their holdings, staking for wiTRY and borrowing USDm against the position to boost their yields with Turkish lira carry trades on MegaETH.
  • MegaMafia Backing: Brix was selected for investment in the second batch of “MegaMafia,” an ecosystem accelerator of hand-picked startups building directly on MegaETH's high-throughput blockchain.
