YZi Labs – the family office of Binance Binance co-founder Changpeng "CZ" Zhao – has announced an unspecified investment into Temple Digital Group, the first native exchange on Canton Network.

What’s the Scoop?

  • Temple Digital Details: Temple is a compliant and private trading platform for tokenized capital markets that requires users to submit know-your-customer (KYC) information. Users who access Canton markets through Temple enjoy benefits like customizable counterparty permissioning and a privacy-focused trading experience.
  • Canton's Capital Convergence: Canton creator Digital Asset raised $135M in June 2025. This round was led by DRW Venture Capital and Tradeweb Markets, and brought together a roster of financial and crypto heavyweights, from Goldman Sachs and Citadel Securities to Circle Circle and Polychain.
  • Scaling Real-World Assets: Canton claims to be the only public, permissionless blockchain capable of offering configurable privacy and institutional-grade compliance. Canton purports to support over $6T in onchain real-world assets and processes $280B in daily transactions through a network of 500 validators and over 30 super validators.
  • Digital Assets History: Digital Asset was founded in 2014 and was previously tapped by Goldman Sachs in 2021 to build an open platform for tokenized assets and helped Japanese financial conglomerate SBI Holdings develop a digital yen in 2022.
