Inside the episode
In today’s episode of Bankless, we’re joined by two pivotal figures in Ethereum’s evolution: Danny Ryan and Vivek Raman. Together, they’re embarking on a bold new mission with their venture, Etherealize—a dual-entity initiative designed to bridge the gap between Ethereum and traditional finance.
Why now?
Ethereum is finally ready. With the Merge behind us and a modular L2 ecosystem in place, the time is ripe for serious institutional adoption. Vivek, a Wall Street veteran, and Danny, fresh from his EF sabbatical, believe this is the window—perhaps a narrow one—to bring the world to Ethereum before the regulatory pendulum swings back.
What is Etherealize?
Etherealize is both a Delaware C-corp and a nonprofit. On the for-profit side, it’s a consulting and product development firm helping institutions build real-world blockchain applications. On the nonprofit side, it drives Ethereum-aligned R&D, policy advocacy, and ecosystem-wide education. Together, they form a feedback loop between adoption and Ethereum’s development.
The big picture
Etherealize wants to make Ethereum the backend of global capital markets—not just tokenizing assets, but actually utilizing them in meaningful ways: DeFi, programmable finance, permissioned liquidity, and more. Danny sees this as a continuation of his mission: identifying what Ethereum needs next and pushing it forward from the frontlines of adoption.
The opportunity—and the threat
As competitors with centralized BD strategies flood the field, Ethereum’s neutrality has left a vacuum. Etherealize is stepping in—not to become a centralized voice, but to ensure Ethereum has one in the room. The team is bullish but grounded. Vivek is ready to go “toe-to-toe with the sharks,” while Danny keeps the compass aligned with Ethereum’s long-term values.
How you can help
Etherealize is hiring. But more than that, they’re asking the Ethereum community to help surface opportunities—tokenization pilots, government interest, educational initiatives. The mission is big, and they can’t do it alone.
Ethereum’s next chapter is one of growth, coordination, and adoption. With Etherealize, the message is clear: Ethereum is no longer just a protocol. It’s open for business.
