# Yuga Blocks OpenSea 🙊 *Author: William M. Peaster* *Published: Sep 29, 2023* *Source: https://www.bankless.com/read/yuga-opensea* --- Dear Bankless Nation, Yuga Labs, creators of the Bored Ape universe, just sent a shot across the bow of the NFT space. Well, *mainly across the bow of OpenSea*. With [no love lost](https://www.theblock.co/post/246387/yuga-labs-slams-openseas-shift-to-optional-royalties) for OpenSea’s royalty-optional approach, Yuga just blocked its new Legends of the Mara collection from [trading on Blur, LooksRare, Sudoswap V1, and yes, Opensea](https://twitter.com/0xCygaar/status/1707032224028123354). Blur and the others are used to being blocked by collections at this point, thanks to the [now-sunset Operator Filter](https://opensea.io/blog/articles/creator-fees-update), but it’s the most high-profile stiff arm yet for OpenSea in this regard. Will the move lead to wider change? There’s no telling at this point, but in the very least, Yuga’s made a rallying cry that will resonate with many NFT creatives: *support NFT royalties, or lose our support*.
