Venice Hits 250B Daily Tokens Milestone

Private AI platform Venice is now processing 250 billion tokens a day, founder Erik Voorhees said Wednesday, more than doubling usage since June 2026.

What’s the Scoop?

  • Summer surge: Voorhees posted the stat on X, quoting his earlier June announcement that he made when the platform had reached 100 billion daily tokens for the first time. The climb to 250B marks a climb of 150% in three months.

  • What it means: In the context of AI, a token is the unit that models use to read and write. Accordingly, 250 billion tokens a day is a measure of how much text (and related model work) Venice is running through its systems. Rapid growth in API and app inference, including agent workloads, has driven this latest surge.
