Trump Media & Technology Group (DJT), the parent company of Truth Social, is expanding from social media into financial markets. The company announced Tuesday that it has partnered with Crypto.com’s U.S. derivatives arm to launch Truth Predict, a federally compliant prediction market built directly into the Truth Social app.

What’s the Scoop?

  • First-of-Its-Kind Integration: Truth Predict will allow Truth Social users to place prediction market wagers through Crypto.com’s exchange, which is regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
  • Token Utility: As part of the prediction market rollout, Truth Social will allow users to convert their in-app "Truth Gems" – digital rewards earned from engagement on Truth Social — into Crypto.com CRO tokens, which can be used to purchase prediction contracts. This introduces a tokenized utility within the Truth Social ecosystem.
  • Free Speech Signal: Trump Media CEO Devin Nunes described the feature as a way to transform "free speech into actionable foresight," framing Truth Predict as a tool for crowd-sourced intelligence in a press release about the launch.
  • Global Roadmap: The beta version of Truth Predict will launch in the U.S. first, with plans for international expansion once regulatory requirements are met.
