The Ethereum Foundation Welcomes Its Newest Board Member
The Ethereum Foundation adds privacy and security advocate pcaversaccio to its board.
The
Ethereum Foundation announced that security researcher and longtime ecosystem contributor pcaversaccio (pc) is joining its board, a new addition to the EF's top leadership after a year mostly defined by departures and spin-outs.
Very excited to welcome @pcaversaccio to join us at the EF board! What he brings isn't just security and privacy expertise. He's a living example of what 100% CROPS alignment looks like in practice. Looking forward to the perspective he'll bring, and to being pushed to think much… https://t.co/zRCmYYuBSq

What's the Scoop?
- New board seat: pc becomes EF's fourth board member, joining President Aya Miyaguchi, Founder Vitalik Buterin, and Swiss counsel Patrick Storchenegger for an initial one-year, voluntary term.
- Security pedigree: He co-founded and leads SEAL 911, the ecosystem's rapid-response network for hacks and exploits, and has informally advised EF through its Silviculture Society.
- Written record: pc authored The Ethereum Cypherpunk Manifesto (2024) and Ethereum Privacy: The Road to Self-Sovereignty (2025), both widely circulated essays on Ethereum's foundational values.
- The timing: The appointment lands just two weeks after Francesco D'Amato left EF Research for Ethlabs, and roughly two weeks after EF's own privacy specialists spun out as EthSystems, part of a stretch that's also included Hsiao-Wei Wang's exit after nearly a decade and a 20% staff reduction tied to EF's leaner, endowment-style restructuring.
