Today, Polymarket Polymarket disclosed its partnership with Palantir Technologies and TWG AI to develop a next-generation surveillance and monitoring platform.

What's the Scoop?

  • AI Panopticon: According to a newly published press release, as part of a partnership with prediction marketplace Polymarket, Palantir Technologies and TWG AI developed the "Vergence AI engine" last year to prevent, identify, and report anomalous or suspicious trading activity.
  • Full Stack Compliance: Vergence AI is intended to ensure compliance by monitoring throughout the entire trading process, providing real-time detection to identify potential manipulation, coordinated activity, insider risks, and irregular market patterns. It also screens for relationships with blacklisted users to preempt unauthorized trades, and can automatically escalate problematic behavior and generate compliance reports.
  • Increasing Focus: Prediction market integrity has drawn scrutiny amid concerns about heightened potential for insider trading. Last month, Kalshi detailed two separate instances in which it flagged suspicious activity, froze accounts, and imposed penalties for insider trading activity.
