Monad’s long-awaited Layer 1 blockchain is slated to go live on November 24, 2025, alongside the distribution of its native MON token.

- **Big Launch Date:** Per a team member's [comments to *The Block*](https://www.theblock.co/post/377676/monad-unveils-airdrop-public-mainnet-date), Monad’s public mainnet and MON airdrop will arrive Nov. 24, following months of buildup around its high-speed, Ethereum Virtual Machine-compatible network.
- **Massive Distribution:** Over 225,000 verified crypto users and 5,500 Monad community members are eligible, spanning power users of Aave, Hyperliquid, Morpho, Pump.fun, Uniswap, and beyond.
- **The Tech Intrigue:** Monad’s custom parallel execution engine and MonadDb system promise sub-second finality while remaining fully EVM-compatible, a blend of speed and reach. 
- **Pre-Market Trading:** On Hyperliquid, traders are already speculating on the unlaunched MON token via the [MON-USDC hyperp](https://app.hyperliquid.xyz/trade/MON) contract. At the time of writing, MON was priced around $0.06 per token here and funding rates remained near neutral, meaning longs and shorts are basically balanced for now.
