John Daghita, who allegedly stole over $46M in crypto from the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS), using access to his father's government contracting company, was arrested in Saint Martin by French Gendarmerie in a joint operation with the FBI.

What's the Scoop?

  • The Arrest: Daghita was apprehended last night on the island of Saint Martin by the French Gendarmerie's elite tactical unit (GIGN) in coordination with the FBI.
  • The Alleged Theft: According to onchain investigator ZachXBT, Daghita used access to his father's company CMDSS, which holds a U.S. Marshals Service contract, to transfer assets from wallets managed by USMS.
  • ZachXBT's Role: ZachXBT exposed Daghita in January 2026. After being outed, Daghita reportedly mocked ZachXBT on his Telegram channel and launched a "dust attack" on ZachXBT's publicly disclosed wallet address, transferring some of the allegedly stolen funds.
