The DoubleZero Foundation has launched the DoubleZero mainnet-beta, a high-bandwidth, low-latency network designed to improve performance for blockchains and distributed systems. Starting with Solana validators, the network routes data across more than 70 dedicated fiber links, bypassing the public internet to deliver faster and more reliable communication at scale.
What’s the Scoop?
- Dedicated Connectivity: DoubleZero aggregates independently contributed fiber routes into a synchronized backbone spanning 25+ global locations. The system cuts through public internet congestion, offering deterministic routing and higher throughput.
- Rapid Adoption: During testnet, DoubleZero captured nearly 16% of Solana’s stake with just nine connected cities. The mainnet-beta launch expands to 70+ links contributed by 11 providers including Jump, Galaxy, DRW, RockawayX, and Staking Facilities. As of launch, 20.8% of Solana stake and 386 validators had migrated.
- Institutional-Grade Performance: For validators, DoubleZero offers accelerated propagation, faster consensus, and greater rewards consistency. Validators also enjoy expanded points of presence in North and South America, Europe and the Middle East to enable participation from previously underserved regions..
- Token Utility: The 2Z token employs a “Proof of Utility” model. Tokens will inflate in supply to support general compute and security operations for the network and are for payments by users who want to access high-performance connectivity on DoubleZero’s dedicated paths.
A new, faster internet is here.
