DefiLlama Introduces Universal Token Ratings Dashboard
A new rating system for crypto tokens is live on DefiLlama, built with Forgd across roughly 40 scoring inputs.
Today, DefiLlama went live with Universal Token Ratings, a continuously updated scoring system built with token launch advisory platform Forgd that reduces each token to a single 0-100 score and a AAA-to-CCC letter grade. More than 100 tokens are rated so far.
What's the Scoop?
- The math: Every token gets two separate 0-10 scores: Disclosure (team and leadership, tokenomics, vesting, legal and treasury structure, service-provider engagements) and Performance (liquidity depth, spreads, volume, exchange coverage, derivatives conditions, market-maker adherence). The final grade comes from multiplying them together rather than averaging. A project can't paper over weak market performance with clean disclosures, and it can't out-trade a lack of transparency either.
- Who built it: DefiLlama partnered with Forgd, a platform that helps projects design tokenomics, vet market makers, and manage exchange listings around a token launch, to source the roughly 40 inputs feeding each score. DefiLlama says the ratings update continuously as onchain events, unlocks, new listings, and market-maker mandate changes happen.
- Early leaderboard: Uniswap opened at the top with a AAA grade, the only one on the board so far; Meteora, Curve DAO, and others followed at AA. On the flip side, some of the lowest CCC scorers at the time of writing included Collector Crypt, Olympus, and PancakeSwap.
