About Senator Cynthia Lummis
Cynthia Lummis, the first woman to represent Wyoming in the U.S. Senate, was sworn in on January 3, 2021. Born on a cattle ranch in Laramie County, she has dedicated her career to advocating for Wyoming's families, businesses, and values. A no-nonsense conservative, Lummis served in the U.S. House from 2008 to 2016, where she championed fiscal responsibility, western issues, and public land access. With deep roots in Wyoming's mineral and energy sectors, she continues to fight for the state's interests in Washington. Lummis holds three degrees from the University of Wyoming and is a proud mother and grandmother.
