Quantum Cats were launched by the Taproot Wizards, a group supporting attempts to expand the functionality of the Bitcoin network, to promote the reactivation of OP_CAT.
The OP_CAT opcode, removed in 2010 due to fears of a potential denial of service attack, is being considered for reactivation. Supporters believe that reactivating OP_CAT will expand the functionality of the Bitcoin network.
