The latest indication here came as the NFT marketplace giant just unveiled its official Foundation account on X with a short teaser: "[ocean enters the chat](https://x.com/openseafdn/status/1870121121061974140)."

We should know more soon, as OpenSea is gearing up to launch its madeover OS2 platform experience any day now. But we don't even need specifics here yet to know that the arrival of an $OCEAN token would have *big *implications. 

Presumably, a lot of people would qualify for this airdrop, and it has the potential to be one of the largest token launches in 2025. It certainly seems possible that $OCEAN could reach a +$2.5 billion market cap and climb into the top 60 cryptocurrencies by year's end. 

That stimulus, combined with the OS2 points system, could help catalyze a new wave of attention around NFTs. If things turn decidedly bullish for NFTs in 2025, then $OCEAN will likely have played a non-trivial role in making that happen. 

In the meantime, we can only speculate. The Pluid team did just release an unofficial [OpenSea airdrop estimator](https://x.com/Loopifyyy/status/1870128788199166197), so consider checking that out if you want to gauge your past activity while we wait for more news!
