# MetaMask Launches Agent Wallets

[MetaMask launched early access](https://metamask.io/news/introducing-metamask-agent-wallet?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=cmp-194752232-afbf08) for Agent Wallet on Thursday, a self-custodial wallet configured for AI agents to execute onchain while abiding by user-set permissions. General access will go live later this summer.

## What’s the Scoop?
- **Constrained Agent Execution:** Users can set daily spending limits and  whitelist specific protocols before letting an agent swap, use perpetuals, prediction markets, DeFi, etc.
- **Two Control Modes:** Guard Mode requires human approval when a transaction falls outside the user’s rules. Beast Mode reduces approval interruptions, though flagged or malicious transactions still require two-factor authentication.
- **Built-In Security:** Supported EVM transactions pass through transaction simulation, Blockaid-powered threat scanning, and MEV protection: "fixed" checks which agents cannot override.
- **Chains and Agent:** Agent Wallet works across all supported EVM chains, as well as Hyperliquid, and lists support for frameworks like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenClaw, Hermes, and OpenCode.
