# How to Start a Community on Base *Author: William M. Peaster* *Published: Jun 24, 2024* *Source: https://www.bankless.com/de/read/how-to-start-a-community-on-base* --- Base's app scene is more mature than ever and it's easier than ever to get started. There are now *many *great resources that you can use to start and manage your own community on the network.  If you have some ideas but aren’t sure where to begin, no worries—let’s walk through a potential blueprint you could follow to dive right into community building.  --- ## **Setting Up HQ** If you’re starting a community on Base, you’ll want to set up a base command (pun intended) where you can start organizing funds and voting on different actions to take as a group.  An excellent starting point to consider here is [**Party**](https://www.party.app/), a protocol and platform for streamlined onchain group coordination. Then another potential starting point is [**Tally**](https://www.tally.xyz/), which bills itself as the “complete DAO Operating System” for launching custom online collectives.  ## **Establishing Official Channels** Once you have some sort of governance structure prepared, you’ll want to start establishing official comms channels to make it easier for your community to stay updated and to engage with your project.  For longer announcements, consider creating a blog on web3 publishing platform [**Mirror**](https://mirror.xyz/), which lets you mint your posts as NFTs on Base for your biggest fans to collect. The app isn’t directly on Base, but its interactive Base-friendly Frames offer many interactive community activation possibilities.  Plus, if you use Warpcast, then you could readily tap into [**Rounds**](https://rounds.wtf/) to incentivize quality engagement in your community channel via routine rewards distributions for the best comments. Plus, Zora offers Protocol Rewards, so you can still earn by charging nothing for your mints, and Highlight offers sponsored mints, so you can cover the first X amount of minters for better accessibility.
